Leading Anilox roll manufacturer Sandon Global has announced the installation of its sixth thermal fibre optic laser at its facility in Runcorn, Cheshire. The laser which features the latest technological advances will increase the company’s laser engraving capacity in order to continue to meet increasing customer demand.

The system uses new materials and technologies in beam delivery optics which refine the laser beam and consequently improve its delivery. This will therefore aid the consistency and subsequent quality of anilox engravings at higher screen counts.

Gary Carmichael, Operations Manager at Sandon Global said "The new laser will enable us to increase our capacity whilst continuing to maintain the high standards which our customers have come to expect from Sandon. The new laser will be capable of producing a greater latitude of engravings aiming to increase line counts whilst maintaining greater volume capability".

Having 6 lasers on-site means increased capacity which enables Sandon to dedicate time and resources to research and product development. Sandon's mission is to innovate and develop engravings which improve quality, consistency, print latitude and enable their customers to improve efficiency. The latest laser represents a major investment for Sandon Global and demonstrates their dedication to investing in cutting-edge technology to ensure that Sandon Global remain market leaders.
