SANDON GLOBAL INSTALL FIFTH LASER
Leading Anilox roll manufacturer Sandon Global has announced the installation of its fifth thermal fibre optic laser supplied by ALE. The investment has been made due to the company’s global success. Over the last eighteen months Sandon Global has continued to grow strongly propelled by customer interest in our innovative products, consistency, quality, delivery and service.
The laser which employs the latest technological advances will increase the company’s laser engraving capacity in order to continue our support of their increasing customer base. The system uses new materials and technologies in beam delivery optics that refine the laser beam and consequently improve its delivery. This will therefore aid the consistency and subsequent quality of anilox engravings at higher screen counts.
“We have been working in partnership with ALE on concepts in laser technology to meet our high demands for some time” said Managing Director, John Millington. “The new laser will give us the ability to carry out some exciting new product developments. Sandon Global are determined to constantly evolve engraving concepts through on-going experimentation. The fifth laser is crucial in driving these latest developments by utilising its technological advancements and also increasing our capacity so that we can dedicate increasing time to research and development. The new laser will be capable of producing a greater latitude of engravings aiming to increase line counts whilst maintaining greater volume capability than previously available”.
The installation is instrumental in the company’s determination to innovate and further the concepts of Laser engraving, bringing not just marketing hype but live engravings that can improve quality, consistency, print latitude and essentially offer the potential to its customers to improve efficiency and effectively increase their bottom line.
Millington concludes “The new laser represents a major investment for the company and demonstrates it’s continued investment program at a time when the global economy is in recovery. We are very confident in the future of the flexographic industry and will continue to support its success and progress”.
Sandon Global have ordered their sixth thermal fibre optic laser which will be commissioned in August.
